An effective SPC vinyl plank data sheet is a living reference for the exact product being priced, sampled and shipped. Its first job is identity control.

The 3C-Floor SPC Flooring product category lists an “SPC Vinyl Click” example at 5.0 mm thickness, 0.3 mm wear layer and 7 × 48 inch format. These are published catalog figures, not a newly assigned model number, stock confirmation or dimensional test result.
A different 3C-Floor model may use other thickness, wear layer, backing or sizes. Do not apply one record to the whole product range. Complete the blank fields on the right before quotation approval.
Different thicknesses, different functions
Overall plank, rigid core, transparent wear layer and attached pad should not be treated as interchangeable measurements.

Retain the approved décor code, full-board sample, gloss, embossing and bevel because visual drift can compromise a repeat order.

Ask for the same click geometry, body / backing definition, actual installed size, surface, approved sample, report scope and packaging record. Otherwise, two quotations can look equivalent while describing materially different flooring.

Published plank format is only the beginning. Effective coverage, packing count, carton mass and pallet loading must be checked against the final SKU.
Carton coverage: the correct formula
Coverage (m²/carton) = effective plank length (mm) × effective plank width (mm) × pieces/carton ÷ 1,000,000.
The published 7 × 48 in catalog size converts mathematically to 177.8 × 1219.2 mm. Those nominal conversions are not proof of effective installed coverage or production tolerance. Use supplier-confirmed installed dimensions for commercial packing calculations, and never assume a carton contains a particular number of planks.
Before approving a carton or container plan, reconcile m²/carton, pieces, carton weight, cartons/pallet, pallet gross mass, actual pallet dimensions, loading restrictions and the packing-list SKU.
Keep the approved product identical from sample to shipment.

What is an SPC product data sheet?
An SPC product data sheet is a buyer-facing record of a defined rigid core vinyl flooring product. It should show the model or sample identity, dimensions, thickness, wear layer, surface, backing, click system, packing and the documentation needed for the intended application.
What is the difference between an SPC product data sheet and a test report?
The product data sheet identifies the flooring construction and ordering details. A test report identifies a tested specimen and records methods, conditions and measured results. Project approvals may require both, matched to the same construction.
What does 5 mm mean on an SPC flooring data sheet?
5 mm is a nominal thickness description. The buyer must confirm whether attached backing is included, plus the plank-body thickness, core thickness and allowable tolerance. A 5 mm listing does not imply a particular backing or wear layer.
Is a 0.3 mm SPC wear layer suitable for commercial flooring?
A 0.3 mm wear layer is commonly evaluated for residential programs, while higher-traffic commercial applications may call for 0.5 or 0.7 mm options. Final suitability depends on the complete product, use conditions and required test evidence.
Can I use the same SPC product data sheet for another color or attached pad?
Only when the supplier has confirmed the document covers that exact variant. A change in backing, click profile, surface construction or other controlled feature may require a revised data sheet and supporting test evidence.
How do I calculate SPC flooring carton coverage?
Multiply the effective plank length in millimeters by the effective width in millimeters and the confirmed number of planks per carton, then divide by 1,000,000 to obtain square meters per carton. Use installed coverage dimensions rather than locking projections.
Does an SPC waterproof core mean the entire installation is waterproof?
No. SPC core water resistance does not waterproof the subfloor, joints, room edges or adjacent building materials. Follow the model-specific installation requirements for substrate moisture, vapor control, expansion and wet-area detailing.
What should I send to request an OEM SPC flooring quote?
